The Profit Motive can’t be underestimated.
“The American lumber industry can handle anything..” Thirty years ago I read that tree companies were developing trees that grew 40 feet a year. If that was 30 years ago, imagine what they have now. These were not lumber trees (perhaps for paper, paper towels, etc.), but nonetheless they were doing it. American ingenuity will get the job done, especially with a supportive President.
