Actually a brief explanation is always provided. You have to go back to the actual URL to see it. But everyone has a history button on their 'puter. If you posted a thread that got the zot, you can know why.

I think I know what you mean. I’ve seen explanations like “duplicate” and “excerpts not permitted”. Those make sense.

But I’ve also seen just “pulled” and “no thanks”. Those don’t give much guidance. Maybe I’m looking in the wrong place.
