That’s a really bad example. That was almost 2 years before the election. We were in a deep recession at that point.

Great evidence that polls in general and especially polls this far away from the Election are not only inaccurate but tainted in favor of Democrats.

The outcome of most all polls reflect the political views of the polls sponsor. That is also true of social media sites. They censor the posts that don’t agree with the web site owners’ political views...like Google, Facebook, etc etc.
In July of 1988, Mike Dukakis was “building a substantial lead” over George Bush.

Pollsters are media guys.
The media do not even acknowledge Republicans exist.
In primaries and in local & state elections, viewers are led to believe only Democrats are running.
Pay close attention. Names of Republican candidates, dates of upcoming Republican primaries aren’t even mentioned.
Democrat candidates & primaries OTOH get a relentless media blitz.
Pollsters likewise frame all questions as Democrat-centric-— as positives; Repubs are either not mentioned at all, or are framed as being *against* progress, human rights, & minorities.
