Tiz the Law remained unbeaten in three starts at age 3 with an authoritative win in the Belmont Stakes Presented by NYRA Bets (G1) June 20 at Belmont Park over runner-up Dr Post and third-place Max Player.
The son of Constitution , trained by Barclay Tagg and owned by Sackatoga Stable, stalked the pace in third down the backstretch, as Tap It to Win went to the lead under pressure from Fore Left. Tiz the Law then assumed command and drew clear in the lane. He raced 1 1/8 miles under Manny Franco on a fast track in 1:46.53. He paid $3.60.

He showed BLM (peaceful protests of course) and praised Cuomo who later spoke via a recording. He mentioned the C-virus more than once as the "epi-center." Basically, in his words, Cuomo was a rock star who got NY through the worst of the C-virus and the BLM images were just people marching.
No mention of the riots. No mention of the businesses destroyed (that I heard). No mention of the violence. Nope.
How do these people sleep at night?
Anyway, the horse looked good.
At least this sport is showing up. No fans allowed but the horses are present. And they aren’t kneeling either.
The jockeys did kneel, however, a few days ago.

...
No mention of the thousands of nursing home patients that Cuomo killed?

It doesn’t matter the foreign-born jockeys can go back to their countries and try that shit.
None. From what I heard, Cuomo was a savior.
Ten entries and a shorter than usual Belmont, but not the stampede that the Derby gets. I liked the audio on this video. You can hear the horses running.

Sorry. It ain’t the Belmont. Did not go the mile-and-a-half distance. Shorter than the Preakness. What a rip off.
Harness from Meadowlands tonight was awesome for audio
Thanks for that link to the race.
The horses are patriots, the jockeys not so much.
Blue Lives Matter
This is all screwed up. They didn’t even run the full mile and a half. This was NOT the Belmont. It’s just another thing to be annoyed about. Congrats Tiz, but your victory has an asterisk.
It is a very different vibe. A friend who is in his 80s told me not too long ago that horse racing is the only sport that hasn’t been dramatically changed from his youth. He went through the list. This Triple Crown is a temporary change because of what is ongoing. I lost interest in most sports in the past few tears and for different reasons but mostly the entertainment is minimal and options exist elsewhere. But I also enjoy seeing packed racing facilities for these American classics and not seeing the crowds is a reality check
I really do like to go to the track. And I think it’s one of the last places where you see people from all walks of life mingling together. No mingling nowadays, but hopefully all this will return.
I should add something. The host showed an empty Times Square and said “This is a summer’s day in New York. Empty...” No mention of the looting and rioting of course and how people wouldn’t go to that area for fear of retribution. I am not familiar with Mike Tirico other than I think he is or was a football announcer. He may be a typical news reporter: biased and not bright or he may have followed orders while collecting his 7-figure salary while spewing nonsense. But again, if I was limited to the “news” from what he presented let’s just say now I know why liberals are naive.
