Black Lives Matter organizers sent video of the incident to KCCI this weekend. The video appears to show a man drive his pickup truck through a protest near the Park Avenue Hy-Vee in Des Moines.
The company tweeted that it had terminated its relationship with Jeff Boucher, effective immediately.
His actions over the weekend were unacceptable and do not represent the values Wyckoff has built our business on. Wyckoff disapproves of his behavior and in no way condones his actions. Wyckoff is a family-owned company founded on the principles of always doing the right thing for the betterment of our customers and our community.

Lol
Hire a good PI who will dig deep into owners and all family members age 3 to 90. I’m sure they uttered an offensive word in their lifetimes.
The BLM crowd apparently took over the Hy-Vee grocery store parking lot to punish the company for a beef that one of their employees took to BLM. They were keeping customers out of the lot and telling them to park in the CVS drug store parking lot across a side street. The driver of the pickup truck refused and bulldogged his way into the situation. The leader called the others to come up and block him. The guy apparently panicked at that and pushed through to make an escape.
If he backed up to avoid the mob in front of his truck he could have hit someone behind it. What was he supposed to do, just sit there taking their abuse until the mob was done venting their insane rage on him?
Maybe an ancestor even owned slaves.
Wykoff must have had some disgruntled employee who was fired.
They probably wanted him to get out of his car, get down on his knees, and throw himself to the mercy of the anarchists. Or they wanted him to sit there while they destroyed his vehicle, broke into the car, dragged him out, and beat him unmercifully. Those are the only two options they gave him. Saving himself wasn’t one of them.
The company may have been most nervous about this coming to light as a result of the fracas:
“...Court filings show a long history of charges against Boucher, including domestic abuse assault causing injury or mental illness, operating while intoxicated and burglary.”
I’ll agree that they were putting him into a bad situation. Backing the truck out of the lot and into traffic was a no-go, and backing it up in an area where there were people milling around was unsafe. Driving past an obvious mess to another store might have been his best option. There’s another grocery three minutes east on Park Avenue.
Id sue the living shit outta this company for wrongful termination!!!
This company is Bunch of pussies
“Wyckoff is a family-owned company founded on the principles of always doing the right thing for the betterment of our customers and our community.
Driving on roads is the right thing to 99.999% of the people. Where do you suggest he drive?
When they go bankrupt they’ll have a nice warm feeling that they supported social justice. At least they have that going for them.
That had to be the most polite run over the protestors ever had.
The Company Sounds like a co conspirator to aggravated assault after the fact is publicly confessing to the crime, maybe he Should SUE THEM
That is certainly interesting. Why would this company hire someone with that background to begin with?
Even with that, though, these so-called protesters have no right to block traffic or stop someone from going about their daily business, and then trying to get the somebody fired. They are the true fascists.
Mr. Boucher doesn’t sound like the most upstanding of citizens, but now all his dirty laundry has been published by the press, who love to side with the antifa thugs. And nothing will happen to the protesters for what they have done.
Apparently their values require employees to allow themselves to be assaulted and perhaps beaten to death. Good to know.
Hey, anything goes for good community relations, right? :-)
More info on the disorderly scene that Boucher got caught up in.

It’s hard telling. The article doesn’t say how long ago that was, and we don’t know what job he held at Wyckoff. Maybe they gave a break to a guy who turned his life around, but now they don’t want to answer questions about who they’re sending into people’s homes. It’s a mess.
I’ve been unhappy for a long time with the notion that companies get to fire people for what they lawfully do on their free time. I also don’t like them being pressured into it.
Never heard of the Iowa Capital Dispatch, but they surely didn’t waste any time digging up dirt on the guy. All of the media is on the side of the leftists and thugs.
I’ll tell you...this stuff is making me angry. Which irritates me, because that is exactly what the subhuman pieces of crap behind it want.
The protesters are spittle-lipped leftists egging people on, or brain-dead emotion driven liberals who don’t know their ass from their elbow and who are out there because they somehow need to cleanse themselves of guilt they have allowed liars to install in them.
The stupid liberals are going to get hurt. I regret their stupidity. If it were the Leftists getting run over, that is on them. But the virtue-signalling liberals are just idiots who are going to get killed and turned into martyrs.
Which is what the Alinsky types behind this want. They want people to get hurt. They want to exacerbate a sore. They want to fan the flames until they get the change they want.
Think of the 1968 Democratic National Convention. That is their model. Injure or kill dumb ass people who don’t know their ass from their elbow, they are just stupid tools to be used and they don’t even know it.
And they are all too happy to use virtue-signalling useful idiots to make something bad happen.
That's a thing, I guess...he was just supposed to "take his beating."
