#1 Use Bar Keepers Friend.
https://www.barkeepersfriend.com
I use the powdered version for my stainless steel pans.
Keep them new looking. If you have scotched marks on the sides and bottom then use oven cleaner and leave on for about 30 minutes. Brand new looking afterward.
The liquid version for sinks, shower.

Baking soda is a perfect toothpaste.

Salt and lemon juice cleans cutting boards.

Ac Vinegar is great for a million things: a few drops in your nasal irrigation bottle, diluted on skin when you might risk infection (if skin is open you can use to get rid of potential staph but it will sting for a sec), can Pour into clogged toilet and wait to not need plunging, etc.

Pure, edible coconut oil in solid form is excellent as a light moisturizer. Also excellent on toilet paper for extreme cleanliness.

i dump my leftover cold coffee (black) on my acid loving plants, and rosebushes.
I put a 40 oz malt liquor, 1/2 cup of molasses and a couple squirts of dish soap in a sprayer and use it on my lawn. Worms come up , robins eat, grass is really green.
My kids swear by vinegar and mouthwash foot soaks- kills athelete’s foot/itchy rashes.

Not sure if you know this one but it is common: vinegar ( even apple cider vinegar ) and water to clean windows.

Use newspaper to dry as it will not streak.

Vitamin C for dog urinary tract infection.
sml 250mg/day
med 500mg/day
lrg 750mg/day

Our 20# female dog got a urinary infection on the weekend when the vet was closed. She was in pain and had trouble urinating. We got a sample to take to the vet for Monday(small flat plastic container taped to a yard stick). The urine was brown & cloudy.

Urinary tract infections can be life threatening to a dog.

I gave her a 500mg vit C crushed in peanut butter.
She was pain free and urinating normal in less than an hour.
We continued the treatment for 10 days just as we would have with an antibiotic from the vet.

Cranberry juice (as recommended similarly for humans) is just the carrier for the vit C.

I brush my teeth in baking soda. No salt or anything else. At 74 I still have all my teeth, except the wisdom teeth.

Baking Soda and Hydrogen Peroxide, once a week, teaspoon of each, swish it for 2 minutes in my mouth in the shower, spit and brush. I believe it helps stop and repair cavities, not to mention any tooth or gum infections.

Vodka with lemon and /or orange peels and herbs soaked in it for a few weeks makes an excellent cleaner, especially for old, damaged wood floors. Also, a potent cocktail mixer! :D

Comet around window and door sills to keep ants out.

Hubs burns coffee grinds to keep bugs away in the evening.

A few other things mentioned already by excellent FReepers.

Recently found several similar suggestions on youtube for cleaning rust off of small garden tools.   All those suggestions start by soaking the tools overnight in white vinegar (some use a jar, others use a tray, or wrap the tools in vinegar-soaked paper towels).   The next day, use some baking soda and an old toothbrush to brush the rusty areas, rinse off and thoroughly dry the tools, then cover them with a light coat of mineral oil, or some other light oil, for protection.

(Just do a youtube search for "How To Remove Rust From Garden Tools", and watch a few of those videos for yourself, to see some of the slight variations.)

Meat tenderizer for spider/bug bites. PUt a dash in your hand, add drop of water, pat on bite. Do several times a day. IMO every first aid kit should have this included.

Comfrey. If you have room in your garden grow some. Use it for bug bites, poultices for bruises, sprains. Makes incredible fertilizer. Tea (banned by the FDA so you know it must work). Many more uses. Look it up.

Does it work on liberals?
Clean them up and make them conservative?

If my toilet gets clogged, I just pour a can of coke in it. It works. Then, if my oven is greasy, I mix some coke and baking soda in a paste to clean it. Hydrogen peroxide works as a carpet cleaner.

Anyone ever have any negative experiences using Borax in the laundry? I have to sanitize a certain family member’s clothing and don’t want to use bleach. I had been using Lysol laundry sanitizer but it’s been gone from the stores for a couple of months now.

I’ve read that Borax sanitizes wash but have had a couple of people tell me it can ruin clothes.
