a retracting statue would make sense. hydraulics in the pedestal aand a sliding door, like a missile silo.

I suggested to my husband that a no -profit organization should be started to commission the replacement of destroyed statues and historical monuments as well as purchase land to put them on (so they are no longer on public property). Would this be feasible?

Great idea... better but maybe not as entertaining as mine for statuary surrounded by electrified cattle grating.
