What we should all do, to mess with their heads, is apply this generic label to all pro sports teams.
For example, the Boston Bruins are now the "Boston Hockey Team" and the Los Angeles Lakers are now the "Los Angeles Basketball Team."
That is, if we even speak of them at all.
