I was in a store the other day and thought I saw a guy in there I had worked with 35 years ago. Could not really be sure though as the bottom 2/3 of his face was masked.
This guy has a very distinctive voice, and the moment he began speaking to the cashier I knew it was him. I was six places back in a socially distanced checkout line though so I never got to say hi to him.
How are you supposed to recognize anybody anymore?
Seriously, though...if masks were placed on gorillas in zoos, wouldn’t PETA, ASCPA, etc., lose their sh*t? Love to hear their reasoning.
Just deal with it. It’ll stop after November.

Over the weekend, Honolulu police issued 1,350 citations to those violating COVID-19 orders

HONOLULU, Hawaii (HawaiiNewsNow) - Honolulu police officers issued some 1,350 citations over the weekend to those allegedly violating COVID-19 emergency orders.
Most of the violations were issued to those who were in closed parks or lingering on beaches.
There were also violations issued to those gathering in groups of 10 or more.
Mayor Kirk Caldwell said Monday that at least one of those groups was a wedding party.
Meanwhile, HPD said it made one arrest connected to the emergency order. Officials said a man allegedly tried to kick an officer who was informing him that a park was closed.
Additionally, some 300 phone calls came into the hotline for those reporting violations of the emergency order in the first 24 hours that it was active.
The city also got about 80 emails with possible violations.
The hotline number is 723-3900, while the email is hpdcovidenforce@honolulu.gov.

I think it is safe to assume that less then 99.999% of us would ever need to call the Honolulu Police Department, mask or no mask.

Let me just say it’s a scary place. They create biological weapons and defenses against them there.
When you desend down to the BL4 labs, everyone is in a space suit. Self contained with a dozen other serious protocols and procedures.
Mask won’t stop a virus. See Wuhan city for examples.

Health has long been an integral and central element of the menu of human rights and entitlements that bore witness to the essential dignity of every human being. This paradigm has now been flipped by Covid-19. It has hitherto been uncontroversially implicit that our bodies are designed to preserve our own lives by expelling toxic waste. Now this process has been redefined as a function offering extreme risk to the lives and well-being of bystanders, the game has changed out of all recognition.
Ft. Detrick is in the middle of the Baltimore/Washington Metroplex. A really stupid place to locate such a facility. It needs to be moved somewhere like Yucca Mountain or Area 51 where there aren’t any people around.
