Louisville mayor says he won't be attending Kentucky Derby
WLKY ^ | August 20, 2020

Posted on 08/20/2020 6:30:01 PM PDT by ConservativeStatement

Fischer said "there will be a lot of things going on in the city that day" and that's why he wasn't planning on attending the Derby at this point.

Fischer's decision comes days after several groups have announced their plans to hold demonstrations on Derby day, including at the racetrack.

One of those groups, the "Not F------ Around Coalition," or NFAC, announced last week it would be bringing its armed Black militia to the Derby if there is no decision on the Breonna Taylor investigation by Attorney General Daniel Cameron's office.

Yea cause of Dandy Andy we have: statewide mask mandate, bars close at 10pm, restaurants at 25% capacity, State Fair closed to the public, KY Derby with no infield only reserved seating... oh and NFAC (black militia that marched through Louisville KY a few weeks ago) have publicly stated they’re coming back for the Derby. By our estimation about 80% of downtown Louisville businesses have their glass storefronts boarded up cause our Dem state gov and Dem city mayor haven’t done squat to stop the protests (we had ONE WEEK of National Guard and a “curfew” that apparently applied to everyone BUT the protesters) My hometown looks like a f**king warzone and it’s directly because of these idiots.

Last night during a hockey game, the announcer mentioned that there were funds for black gays, queers, trannies and that community... during a hockey game!

Why do I get the feeling that we will hear the need for affirmative action in the Derby for trainers/jockeys since the race likely will not have any participating.

Considering that NBC has TV/streaming rights to the Kentucky Derby, putting money on what you said happening would be the safest bet of the day :)

They would need to run at least 2 black horses to make it proportional.

And no fillies. And no female jockeys or trainers. The Dems will call for a boycott. Maybe someone will “come out” and that’ll satisfy at least one issue. :-)

Oh good God.

Of course, maybe it’s partly because of moving a tradition far by 4 months.

And regarding that disgusting PC intimidation group, can’t they use obscenity laws on these miscreants?

They should use it on all the rioters with their disgusting signs much less a group that actually uses obscenity in its “name”!

There can be females of any of the above. Don’t know who’s entered now. There is a dearth if women jockeys lately again.

Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer is a scared little rabbit. He will be laying low on the new Derby Day because the NFAC has promised to show up in Louisville and burn the mother down. If there aren’t answers by then in the shooting death of Breonna Taylor. Oh and also the answers have to be the ones the NFAC want.
If the investigation shows that she was shot eight times and her boyfriend who opened fire on the police wasn’t hit once because he used her for a human shield they won’t be happy.

NFAC (black militia that marched through Louisville KY a few weeks ago) have publicly stated they’re coming back for the Derby.

How many NFACs will the NFAC shoot this time?

Yes, I think Rosie Napravnik was the most recent female rider.

Linda Rice’s horse was recently transferred to the barn of Steve Asmussen (#2 in all-time wins). Kathy Ritvo had Mucho Macho Man a few years ago to much attention.

The fillies who were discussed as possible runners in the Derby are instead headed to the more traditional Oaks.

I’m sorry. I don’t know what this thread is about. A true son of Kentucky (of which I am one) knows that the Kentucky Derby is run on the First Saturday in May, not some random September day.

As a dutiful son of Kentucky, I sat on my veranda on Saturday, May 2, sipping my mint julep, watching the Derby.

One problem, where were the ponies?

Fortunately, with enough mint juleps (usually two),the presence of ponies doesn’t matter.

Funny how no one else seems to ask that question of how the BF who shot at cops didn't have a scratch on him and just focus on making Breonna Taylor the EMT a saint that was asleep in her bed when she was murdered (that's how the protesters claim it to be, they get realllllly pissy if you confront them with facts, like throwing holy water at a demon)

Ew. You wasted perfectly good bourbon on a mint julep? Screw that. Gimme the bourbon straight and neat, thanks.

A filly, GAMINE, is running in the Oaks, IIRC.

She won a race this summer against other fillies by 18 lengths.

Rosie was terrific, but she stopped for family life. Good for her....but she could be a great rider.

A little bit back we had Chantel Sutherland. She first seemed to get notoriety because she was featured along with Joe Talamo as local circuit jocks on “Jockeys” along with her shack-up HOF jock Mike Smith. Then you see her some on major stakes and she had her fanny plastered on some LA racing billboards.

She turned out to be the Danica Patrick of HORSE-racing. Hot chick but not really good.

Rosie was the real deal, like none I have ever seen. But no cheesecake marketing for her.

Yes. Gamine vs. Swiss Skydiver is a potential headliner in the Oaks.
