Miley Cyrus quits vegan diet, says she cried the first time she ate fish

The actress-singer revealed that she felt her “brain wasn’t functioning properly”.

After being strictly vegan for many years, singer-actress Miley Cyrus has decided to drop the diet.

The 27-year-old made the revelation in a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, where she said that she felt her health was being compromised.

She told the host: “I was vegan for a very long time and I’ve had to introduce fish and omegas into my life because my brain wasn’t functioning properly.”

She also said she suffered from hip pain that she attributed to her diet.

Now, however, she said she’s “so much sharper than I was and I think that I was, at one point, pretty malnutritioned (sic)”.

She recalled feeling like she was "running on empty" during a performance at Glastonbury music festival one year.

The Wrecking Ball singer revealed that her first non-vegan meal – grilled fish – was cooked by ex-husband Liam Hemsworth, and that she cried when she ate it.

“I cried, like, for a long time. I cried for the fish … it really hurts me to eat fish,” she said.

While she considers herself a pescatarian now, she also said she’s open to incorporating other food.

Well, seeing as how she swings both ways, I figured she liked the taste of fish.

Someone more tech savvy than I , please post Joe Walsh song “Fishbone”.
Lyric at 1:05. Doctor says “bet it hurts alot”. Classic Joe Walsh ! Also Joe’s Song “Wrecking Ball “
Sums up the dead-end lifestyle of fame and indulgence glorified by Cyrus.
Laughing or Crying all the way to the Bank . Not my cup of tea

Important to remember that human beings spent close to 200,000 years as hunter-gatherers.

Before herding, animal protein and animal fats were almost always in short supply.

First reason - every animal and every fish on the planet was on 24-7 full alert for predators trying to eat them.

Second reason - kill sites were often a long way from human settlements, and there was no way to preserve meat once you had some.

Until 10,000 years ago, most humans got most of their calories and nutrients from nuts, seeds, berries, edible plants, wild grains, fruits, and eggs.

Re: isn’t beef just processed grass?

Modern livestock are often supplemented with soybeans, oats, and corn.

Consider our closest relatives. Most gorillas are vegetarian, while the remaining gorillas, chimpanzees and orangutans are mostly vegetarian. It therefore seems logical that we should be mostly vegetarian.

I am not an expert, but I do remember reading once some suggestion that our ancestors started eating fish which enabled our ancestors’ brains to improve beyond that of other primates.

Food is not now, nor has it ever been entertainment. That’s nonsense created by food companies to keep revenue streams flowing. Meat provides every nutrient I need to be healthy & happy every day! How does one get bored with that extactly?

What was terribly boring was being obese, depressed, anxious, insomniac, suffering eczema, skin tags, side effects from multiple medications—all of which are GONE after suffering for over 40 years.

I am happier, light-years healthier than I’ve ever been in 59 years of life. Feel like I’m 20 with a 20 yr old’s libido. Doubt me? Ask my 61 yr old wife who eats only meat also, healed herself of severe arthritis & also feels like she’s 20.

“Boring”? Puleeze :)

That’s severely illogical as humans have entirely different digestive systems & nutrient requirements. There is no actual nutritional advantage to eating plants. They are full of natural toxins that accumulate in our organs & joints over time. Human beings cannot digest plant fiber, which contributes directly to fun times with IBS, constipation, diarrhea, hemorrhoids, IBD, leaky gut & more.
