Crews from the Seattle Parks and Recreation Department, alongside the Seattle Police Department, led a large scale clean-up of Cal Anderson Park on Capitol Hill on Tuesday.
Officers recovered weapons and shields during the sweep. According to the Seattle Police Blotter, "Officers obtained a warrant to search the tent and recovered a machete, hatchet, homemade spike strips, an unexploded mortar, and multiple makeshift shields."
No arrests were made in connection to the recovered evidence, but Seattle police said the investigation is ongoing.
Cal Anderson Park was part of the area known as the Capitol Hill Organized Protest zone, or CHOP, and the city says it’s been closed to the public since the end of June.
Parks and Rec crews and Seattle Police we’re met with dozens of protesters who accused them of forcefully displacing many who’ve called this area home.
Police were seen getting physical with protesters as they tried to keep the crowd off the park. At least two people were taken to the ground and arrested in the confrontation.
Aerial footage showed Seattle Police forming a perimeter around Seattle Parks crews that included large dump trucks that were used to throw away property left behind.

Why don’t Seattle cops just go on strike?
Simply say - the Leftists in charge have made it impossible to do our jobs, and put our lives in danger.
Leave Seattle to its own devices. The rest of America would understand.

Good choice, as there would be no point - wasted energy in booking, fingerprinting, lawyering, etc.
Just a guess: Most of the city is fine. The area being ruined is probably just a couple of blocks. The cops are probably fine in the rest of the community.
At least if the arrest record is public the miscreants could be identified.

#4. Just booking those who possessed or whose fingerprints were on deadly weapons can provide a wealth of intelligence information about the thugs, sometimes where they got their supplies, sales receipts, credit cards, license plates, etc.
Even if the charges are dropped and some legal papers destroyed, you know damned well this information has gone to every relevant federal and state (and trusted local) police agencies in the countries.
You’d be surprised how much Intel that was supposed to be destroyed on orders of Leftist Judges in the 70’s, and even now, still exists, “somewhere, in some place, with someone”.
Seems the FEDS desire to not fund anarchy and the destruction of cities has got the locals attention
