Makes me want to cook some Chicken Francese tonight.;-)
Sounds like a fake accent.

All I do is say “ Honey, clean the pots after you get me a beer” And magically it gets done.
I was given a nice stainless 10 gallon pot. But it was loaded with congealed fats and grease inside and out. So I cleaned it outside with dirt and a garden hose rather than make a greasy mess inside.
Just make sure it is clean dirt!
Does it work on thundermugs?
Leave them out for the bears.
True!
Back in the day I think folks stumbled onto the recipe for soap.
Ash from the fire got mixed in with animal fats, plus the dirt. Ash plus animal fats = soap
I learned that in Boy Scouts when I was a kid.
I always use sand and then boil water in the pot/pan with the forks/spools.
A lot of work but it is as clean as if it came out of the dishwasher.
I have cast iron pot and pans. Cast iron is easy to clean.
Boil water in the biggest pot with a little liquid soap — which should be applied to the outside— the soot will wipe
right off.
Use the boiling soapy water to clean the other pots and pans.
For a dutch Oven: Pliers and a green pine cone with hot water, not soapy, obviously
Wow, neat trick.
A lot of places you are probably dealing with sand and not dirt though. Scouring.
Old joke: Bring a dog with you named “Soap ‘n’ Water”, so when people ask if the pots and dishes are clean, you can say, “As clean as Soap ‘n’ Water can make them.”

Sand and the river.
Learned it from reading Rober Ruark’s “The Old Man and The Boy”.
