I always get a kick out of very good looking women when looking for a mate say looks don’t matter, what’s inside and character bla bla bla.
Later on when you see them with a guy it’s never an ugly guy but a handsome guy.
One of my wife’s aquintances is back in the dating pool and she is very attractive at age 49-near the top in looks. The first line in her dating ad “if you are not attractive keep scrolling on”. At least she is honest.
Lake all young men who have just gotten married, then meet some of their wife’s friends and you say...
“OMG! I wish I had met her before I met my wife!”
Then twenty years later you meet them again and say...
“OMG! I’m glad I DIDN’T meet them before I met my wife!
But there is always that one, who you again meet thirty years later and she is still as stunning as she was years before. Then you notice her husband is working three jobs to keep her in that lifestyle and you say...
“OMG! I wish I could have met her before I met my wife, but I’m glad I DIDN’T!”
I don’t know...I’ve seen a lot of attractive women with short, fat, or barely average looking men. Yeah, I’d have to be attracted to a guy to date or marry, but there’s a whole lot more to attraction than looks. At least for women. What you DON’T see very often is a very physically attractive man, with a physically UNattractive woman. Almost NEVER.
Thankfully, my pretty, sweet wife did not place much emphasis on looks. :-)
I’m not a youngster anymore but.....I keep myself up and when I go out don’t dress like a slob. Just got back from a weekend trip to Vegas and looked around the casinos. Women my age looking like crap! No wonder I still get ‘looks’ from men even if I’m in no way interested. lol
