It could just be as simple as Fox doesn't want to be sued for billions by Soros.
Everyone knows the man is behind a whole host of nefarious activities, but is he a "public figure" in the eyes of the law? It would be a little foolish to slip up and slander or libel him on national TV. I'm sure his group could keep you fighting lawsuits for years.

I expect Newt’s on suspension for some period of time, at least several weeks. He’s too important a figure to be banned from the network for telling the truth, but expect to see him be punished. I’m sure Rush or Hannity (on radio) might have something to say about this (if they aren’t threatened too).

I think it’s more than that. These people actually seemed scared. Newt was just pointing out that Soros financed the leftist DA’s in the riot cities, which is public record. as soon as Newt said Soros, boom all stop. The woman on the right was the first to stop any mention of Soros followed immediately by the little rat Marie Huff. Harris Faulkner seemed paralyzed and didn’t know how to proceed. I have never anything quite like it.
I suspect he is one of many caretakers of The Epstein Videos.

I suspect that the "regulars" on "outnumbered" have been given a list of names or topics that are off-limits (the Ukraine whistle blower's name was mentioned by Molly Hemingway of the Federalist and she was suspended for several weeks). On the other hand, guests like Newt who only rarely appears (or never appears in this environment) may not have been aware of the prohibition. He certainly expressed surprise at their reaction but instantly understood the situation by saying "so it’s verboten."
