Bolts should have won it last year.
Olympia on Grand River in Detroit. Hockey night in Canada at Windsor Raceway upstairs bar when Toronto was playing Montreal...THOSE were the days my friend. SHEESH I’m getting old.
Old Time Hockey, like Eddie Shore!
At least MLB is now on a regular schedule and the World Series will happen at it’s usual time of year.
And nobody will care.
He shoots, he scores! The Richard Bros...the Mahovolich Bros. Can’t forget Eddie Shack...Bobby Orr...and on...and on...and on...
What memories...the SRO at Olympia on New Years Eve. That was my date destination for many years. My girlfriend at that time called Gordie Howe...:Howie Gordon. She was cool in many ways (I won’t go into the details though). That upstairs bar at Windsor Harness Raceway on a Saturday night Leafs v. Canadians game...that place was rocking & rolling like no other sports bar I’ve ever been in.
A heaping paper plate of fries for $1.00 and a Molson Canadian. Hockey heaven. In fact that’s where I first laid eyes on my wife of 44 years.
Yeah, I like to tell people we 1st met in a foreign country. Sounds intriguing. There is...way more to that story, too. Fascinating how paths cross.
Who cares? They are boorish foreign thugs who have the nerve to kneel in disrespect for my country and support for a communist take over of America. F%^K them all.
Maybe because it's training camp time?

And nobody booing Bettman!
I was but that doesn’t count.
65+ years for me. (Not even a minute!)

What’s funny is that the Russian players are more patriotic towards the American flag than the Canadian and American players.
and Don Cherry holding forth on Coaches Corner..
Stanley Cup...some kind of drinking game?
YAWN!
I used to be a huge consumer of sports events. For years between television and radio I would consume 10-15 events a week of baseball, college football, NFL, hockey and basketball. Since bugging out from Morder in 2014 I have consumed exactly *one* event, last year’s AFL Championship. I just had to see if Patrick Mahomes was all they said he was. He is. A generational talent. Mrs. Crusher asked me last night about something sportsy and I replied I probably could not name a dozen professional athletes combined.
I had no idea as I tuned out the NHL bubble tournament the moment black Canadians started kneeling and giving snotty lectures.
With the Rays one of the best teams in baseball and Tom Brady ad the helm of the Bucs, could this be the City of Champions year for Tampa?
LOL, and if the Heat beat the Lakers, it could be a Florida Sweep.
Funny that. My son and I were saying that same thing last night as the little POS was handing out the cup. This was the only venue where he wouldn't be drowned out by a chorus of boos.
