I was watching Booker trying to ask 'gotcha' questions to Amy Coney Barret in her Confirmation hearing, and the one that stood out was about if she felt empathy for the victims of systemic bias in the justice system, referring to the 'three strikes law'.
Amy Coney Barrett then asked, are you referring to law so-and-so that was just stricken down? or are you referring to the effects of the law prior to that?
Hahahahahah, GOTCHA! Booker was left stunned for a second, but quickly recovered and switched topics.
But, WHO Sponsored that law? Democrats did! (RE. Jack Brooks, Tx) Co-Sponsors? CHUCK SCHUMER!! (D-NY) and William Hughes (D-NJ) Who signed that law? Bill Clinton did! (in 1994)
WHO struck it down? President TRUMP!
So Corey Booker was trying to imply that it would be horrible if she supported that law, or did not felt 'empathy' for its victims, forgetting that Trump just struck that law down, and that it was the Democrats that passed it, creating a racial disparity in the jails (a ton more of black people where charged under this law than white people, a lot of them for very minor offenses).
As always, the Democrats accuse everyone else of the things they themselves are doing.

He's as dumb as a box of rocks. I doubt he even knew the law had been struck down. It reminds me of Maxine Waters in 2019, at a hearing with bank executives, when she tried to blame them for the student loan crisis, and was quickly advised that banks hadn't handled student loans for at least 10 years. She obviously forgot that she had voted for the legislation in 2010 that nationalized the student loan system under Barack Obama. The only people dumber than Democrat politicians, are the dumb asses that vote for them.
