Wow. what an asshole.
I heard Rush today as well. He was NOT looking for sympathy, IMO. He was just clinically describing the effectiveness of each of the 3 modes of treatment he's been given so far. I'm just thrilled that the third one seems to be the charm, at least for now. Rush is a national treasure and we will take as much time as G-d gives him to us. Michael Savage acted like a jealous infant in what he said. There was no reason for him to be so crass and unfeeling.
Rush did not come anywhere close to losing it. He gave an honest, clinical assessment of his health status and said he is grateful for every day he wakes up and is especially grateful for every day he not only wakes up but is able to get behind the EIB microphone. Savage is a jealous, bitter speck of a man.
Jealous because Rush has the Medal of Freedom.

He’s one to talk about crying. Used to listen to him on my way home from work and that’s about all he ever did...that and blow up. And he wonders why he’s never been accepted by a national audience.
Talk about jealous! Savage is an @sshole! All Rush did was give an update on his health.

I tried to like Savage back in the early 2000s, I really did, but he is just so negative, even when he doesn’t need to be.
After today, I won’t listen to him even if I’m driving across the country and he’s the only thing on the radio.
Heard Rush once say Savage was “a little crazy.” He was right. Rush just gave an update on his condition with humility, dignity and class. Real people know when not to say anything, Savage is clueless—he just jumped the shark.
Savage cannot get past the tremendous success that Rush is AND that Rush had our beloved President on his show right after he had been off all week on chemo treatment! Rush is so tough and we love him!

How about it, Mike - quit telling us about ALL of his degrees & books that he has written. The guy is good one day & a case subject the next. Quit him a few yrs back but once in a blue moon I will listen for an hour. I also heard RUSH today & that was very enlightening. Now we know the story.
I listen to Savage infrequently, i.e., if I’m in the car and he happens to be on there. I’ve enjoyed his commentary over the years, and he was out in front in supporting Trump in 2016. But there’s no excuse for attacking Rush in this way. Disgusting. I’ve always detected a note of jealousy from Savage regarding his fellow conservative radio hosts. Even listening only very occasionally, I know that Savage belittles his fellow talkers (”Sean Vanity” etc.) ... when, as far as I know, they’ve never attacked him in any way.
It speaks of the man’s insecurity and inferiority complex that he feels the need to tear them down to build himself up. And it’s amazing that he’d have this inferiority complex. Yes, Rush has been far more successful at the radio thing than anyone else. But Savage has also had his share of success with radio, book, hell, even that stupid Rock Star soft drink that he plugged for years, and he and his sons ended up selling to Pepsico for gazillions.
It takes a special kind of sociopath to be jealous of a gravely ill person.
I have been a Rush listener since 1993 and I heard what he said today. People have been asking him about his battle with cancer and he felt obligated to update us. It was completely appropriate what he told us. As for Savage, I tried to listen to his show for a period of about a week a few years ago. It seems that his favorite thing to talk about is himself. What a self centered jackass.
Rush will be remembered for many years after he is gone.
Savage isn’t even his real name, why would anyone remember him?
Didn’t know his guardian still let him communicate with the public.
I don’t know what drives people to say such things. What is the point. I found the whole concept just sad.
I’ve always thought “Michael Savage” had a screw loose. He’s from SF, after all.
