but with a heavy long handled DE razor ( Merkur 34C is my current cutter) one can shave dry if in a hurry [ie boot camp], though I prefer at least warm water, or spurge with soapy lather of any kind. I use an old soda can to keep the used blades out of the way safely. Too many people want to take your money for this manly pursuit.

Cheapest but I prefer the two bladed ones. Immediately drying it off with a 3$ Goodwill hair drier after I shave and I can use the same 8 cent razor for anywhere from three weeks to four months.
