I joined Gab yesterday but still haven’t received the confirmation email. My wife set up an account earlier today and got the confirmation email. I plan to delete Twitter once I have Gab confirmed.
I signed up yesterday. The site is slower than molasses in January, but I’m sure this will improve.
I like the owner’s philosophy and principles.
I didn’t care much for Parler; too messy. I also post at MeWe, but only in the antique cars section. Some great stuff there.
Any alternative to corporate news sites is OK with me.

Gab uses it’s own servers, so it’s not depending on a web host like Amazon. Of course it could still be blocked by internet servers. The app could also be deplatformed like Apple did to Parler.
Just use “Gab.com”? Pretty sure you can use your current browser (Brave.com for me now)to get there.

Everyone says; They’re private companies and can do what they want. Build your own. Evidently, it’s not that easy. Parler got slammed and slow, then kicked off of AWS. Gab’s getting slammed and won’t work. MeWe and CloutHub are both slow as molasses today.
I am on Gab as @Submareener (AZ Submariner), on Telegraph as @AZ_Submariner, and on MeWe.com as AZ Submariner.
We are de-platforming Amazon. Finding everything we use to get from them on other websites, preferably the manufacturers own site. Turns out “Free Shipping” with Amazon Prime actually meant “Shipping Included” in the price.
Gab is hosted on its on servers. This protects it from being de-hosted like Parler. The downside is that it doesn’t have the same flexibility to immediately add capacity to keep up with greater traffic.
My only thing keeping me tied to facebutt..

How did you download the app? IPhone user here ...I know how to side load on Android but not on iPhone.

Gab uses Cloudflare as its intermediary infrastructure security company. Cloudflare is a San Francisco based company. Wouldn’t be surprised if the Leftists Mob has already targeted them.
