Campers in Khao Yai were shocked out of their sleep on Friday morning when a wild elephant invaded the camping ground and killed an old man sleeping in his tent.
The elephant ran into the Pha Kluai Mai camping ground at around 2am and entered the tent of Prayod Chitboon, 80. It then grabbed the man with its trunk and flung him against a tree, killing him immediately.
The rest of the campers ran to safety.
Khao Yai officials said later that the dead man’s car was filled with pomelos and the animal was possibly lured by the load.
Officials also found Bt103,108 (S$4,500) in cash among Prayod’s belongings and have called his relatives to take the money.
Major takeaway...
Never sleep in an elephants tent.
Trump’s fault. 🐘😂
Hi.
I have an idea that might help the friendly Thai community. Stop shooting the elephants. It pisses them off.
Hell, I didn’t like to get shot at either. It pissed me off too.
5.56mm
As long as it stayed away from the Pho King Good campground, I’m OK.
Lol!!!
“The elephant...entered the tent of Prayod Chitboon”
Prayod must have had a HUGE tent. Poor guy...what a way to go.
Rogue elephants have long memories
LOL. Not only does that elephant have a great memory, so do you! How did you remember that ancient cartoon?
Blaming the victim. How would this elephant knew which tent the car owner was sleeping in?
RIP old Thai dude. That was an original way to go!
Or you may have to shoot an elephant in your pajamaz.
First thing I thought of and I knew when I saw your post in the forum exactly which cartoon you were alluding to. :)
The elephant party here just flings BS
Yes they are very intelligent. I think they are some of the most beautiful creatures on earth. RIP Old dude.
Well, apparently money was not the motive.
“...killed an old man sleeping in his tent.”
Why was the old man sleeping in the elephant’s tent?
My wife decided the hell with that, she was going to eat the peanuts herself. When Cindy got to her she clutched her handful of peanuts and would not give them up. Cindy started trying to get them out of her hand, and then started slapping her in the face with her big snotty trunk. But my wife would not give them up and grabbed Cindy's trunk with her left hand and started punching her in the nose. All the kids and teachers started yelling at my wife. Two teachers lifted my wife off the ground by her arms and threw her back in the bus. Cindy got agitated and had to be put back in her Cindy barn.
My wife's dad who was a tough as nails combat veteran who served in the army for 28 years was called to the school. The teachers read the riot act to him, he then asked my wife what had happened. She had red marks and eventually bruises all over her face. On the way home instead of punishing her he said it was too bad that she hadn't been armed with his trusty 45. I think that is one of the events that made my wife turn out the way she did and one of the reasons I love her so much.
One morning he shot an elephant in his pajamas. How he got in his pajamas, I don’t know.
