Is insulting someone by calling them a “pig,” “sloth,” or “chicken” actually insulting animals? Well, PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) seems to think so! In a recent tweet, they shared an infographic with alternative words to common animal-based insults such as snake (try “jerk” instead), rat (“snitch”), or pig (“repulsive”). They ask that people use these alternatives because “using animals as insults perpetrates speciesism.”

Well, anybody that fears PETA, is a chicken.
Anybody that is a member of PETA is a pig.
Anybody that is too slow to understand what PETA is about, is like a sloth.
And, I too am sorry about equation those animals with the critters at PETA. Those animals deserve better than to be associated with PETA.
Lately, I just use “commie”.
Seems it’s almost always appropriate these days.
The most ignorant think it’s a compliment, so that’s kind of a downside. Luckily the most ignorant seem to be concentrated in Congress.

These people have quite obviously never been on a working pig farm.
Hurts animals or PETA members? They are usually pigs.
Cowardly cat. I personally know a store owner in the fashion district a year ago, who had a mice problem in his store, and locked a cat inside every night. He even shut off the security sensors.
Every morning for 5 days, he comes in to open the store and there’s blood almost everywhere with at least 5-7 mice bodies ripped apart..
Now look what you’ve done! Offended the kangaroos.
