I have no idea what is on television in the Philippines, as I have never been there.
Personally, I can't stand any of the drivel that's on American TV. My husband likes a couple of shows, and they drive me crazy because every single episode is propaganda. The propaganda is woven into the story lines in a way that people miss it, which is even more dangerous because that means people are consuming those ideas without any critical examination.
The K-dramas, on the other hand, contain no propaganda that I can discern, and I find them just fun to watch. When I went to Korea a few years ago, every tour guide recommended them...I'm glad I finally have the time to watch them.
I've found that while the special effects are pretty good, the stories really sort of suck, and the characters really aren't very interesting.

Gina Carano was fired because she’s a conservative. No other reason.
Yes, they have been trying to get her fired for months in various campaigns. One when she wouldn’t put “pronouns” in her profile, one when she simply joined Parler, and maybe some other ones related to criticizing mask mandates and other things. Most of her posts, just like this one that became an issue here, were just making the point that she didn’t deserve to be attacked for her opinions and that we should all be able to freely discuss our political opinions without hating or attacking each other. What her message ended up proving is that her message of tolerance in political debates fell on completely deaf ears. Lucasfilm’s characterization of her posts is the worst part of all. Their statement to the press is false, defamatory and she should sue them over it.
