The rollout of the much-anticipated 2021 Ford Bronco Sport has hit a speed bump.

Ford announced on Thursday it is recalling 1,666 Bronco Sport models over rear-suspension components that may not be properly attached, just months after delivering the first vehicles in late 2020.

I'm still gonna buy one. Jeep went woke, go broke. Love the new design and power too. No biggie on the recall. Someone forgot to check if some bolts were tight.

They should hire OJ, the slasher, for a Bronco commercial. And just to piss off Fred Goldman, OJ should do it for free.

Funniest thing I ever saw was OJ on some TV sports call in show and a guy called and asked OJ if he more proud of breaking 2000 yards in single season or slashing 2 throats in 1 night.

OJ and host just kind of shrugged it off and moved on. That caller must be a funny dude to hang with........

Made in America is the equivalent of Made in China 50 years ago. Unreliable, not always fit for purpose.

Would a robot forget to tighten the bolts? I remember they used to say not to buy a car made on a Monday or Friday; and to never buy a new model until its 3rd year of production.

Recalls can be interesting. I know of one very very quiet incredibly serious recall involving a FORD vehicle.

NTHSA was doing a test of the gas tank integrity. The test involved putting a car into some sort of jig that would flip the car upside down without damaging it.

When they flipped it over, the front windshield fell out.

Of course, that’s not supposed to happen. The windshield is a structural member of the cockpit and is designed to remain intact in the event of a collision.

They immediately went to the factory floor and figured out pretty quickly what happened. The way a windshield is installed uses three main steps. First, the bonding area for the adhesive is cleaned with some very specific chemicals. Then a primer is applied. Finally, the adhesive is applied and the windshield is installed.

Some lazy union thug at the factory didn’t want to do all three steps, so he mixed the cleaner and primer together in one easy step.

Fortunate for him and Ford, NHTSA chose one of the affected cars for their gas tank test.

It was only a few days of production that this idiot was applying his advanced chemistry degree to auto assembly.

A handful had been delivered to the end users. They were told to discontinue driving immediately. As I recall, a rental car was delivered to them and their car was towed away for proper windshield replacement. They were that unsafe to drive.

Assembly mistakes happen, even to the best manufacturers.

They caught it and found it was limited to a small number of Bronco Sports (not the full-size Bronco, which is not in production yet).

You put a corrective action in place to prevent this from happening again and move on.

That is life in manufacturing.

Ummm...
The affected Bronco Sport vehicles were built at Ford's Stamping and Assembly Plant in Hermosillo, Mexico, between July 22 and November 24, 2020.

They just delivered them and now a recall? This is not a good sign.

Where is this being built?
I have been in every plant in north america..
The quality of the vehicle depends upon the work force..

There are vehicles I will never buy because of the work force in that plant..

Lordstown is one..
Worst work force on the continent

The forthcoming Bronco, and not the Bronco Sport, will be produced in Wayne, Michigan just like all the Broncos from 1966-1996.

Rear suspension modules with loose or missing bolts may affect the vehicle's stability,

Ya think?
