The serious lower leg injuries Tiger Woods sustained in a car crash on Tuesday typically lead to a long and perilous recovery, calling into question his ability to play professional golf again, according to medical experts who have treated similar injuries.

IMHO Tiger had the accident because he probably got into distracted thinking, something that's happened to me a couple of times, but without equally disastrous consequences. I have experienced similar orthopedic injuries and can say he has along road to go before he'll even be able to walk properly. Prayers up, for a great guy.
He’s probably grieving Rush. They were close friends and often golfed together. Tiger lives just up the road from where Rush lived.
I like Tiger but I’d really like to get back about 24hrs of coverage on every damn channel yesterday.
I must have heard 50 variations on what happened.
He should just be glad he is alive.
Golf?
At the pro level ?
Not even likely at an amateur level.
He already has a delicate back that has required surgery, and which kept him from playing often. I predict he’s finished. Sad. The end of an era.
Tiger should just rejoice that he survived, and so far is not showing brain damage. I think he’s already worth over $800 Million Dollars. He’s rich and has been internationally famous for most of his life. Count your blessings, Tiger.
Golfing World will continue as it has for centuries.
Terrific post. thanks.
I've learned to never rule Tiger out. My guess is if he wants to get back he will. It may just take a long time. But if he decides to move into more of just a media role as opposed to a competitive, player role, I wouldn't be surprise.
He's got to be in a lot of pain with all of his injuries and surgeries.
But Tiger has tremendous drive. Well beyond the average person.
Is this a picture referencing Tiger’s injuries?
Ignoring the laws and exceeding the speed limits have consequences. Often deadly consequences.
It will be interesting to see if he was given a pass or tested for intoxicants, given his driving and usage history.
Saw today that the vehicle actually had a Black Box. They said they know every second of his travel and what he did.
He was tested from what I read, he was clean.
Golf is one of those sports where you can still play, and mostly keep up with your kids when they are at their peak. Tiger might not get that, but like in other sports, at least he can be a great coach for his boys.
I was at Newport Beach when Tiger won the 2019 Masters, and was able to slip into a bar for the last few holes. Every place with a TV was packed, with more people crowded outside to watch. There were people on the boardwalk watching it on their phones with people gathering around them to see. One of the most intense sporting moments I’ve ever seen.
I was cheering for Tiger back then, and hoping for a full recovery now, even if he can’t play professionally. I also hope it doesn’t turn out to be a DUI...
If Tiger makes a recovery to play again it will be similar to Ben Hogan recovering from his car accident and coming back to win the Grand Slam.
Wow, that was fast!
You starting with that shit again?
Since you have all the information, how fast was he driving....?
You couldn't answer that question last night so maybe you can answer it today?........Thanks
Even without the box, a good collision reconstructionist will know what occurred, speed, the number of rollovers, distances, impact energy etc..Sometimes getting the info from the boxes can be time consuming with legal issues etc..
