White House press secretary Jen Psaki said Tuesday that President Biden’s name will not appear on stimulus checks that will be sent to many Americans after the $1.9 trillion coronavirus relief bill is passed.
The decision represents a break with the previous administration, as former President Trump's name appeared on stimulus checks sent by the Internal Revenue Service to millions of Americans.
“We are doing everything in our power to expedite the payments and not delay them, which is why the president’s name will not appear on the memo line of this round of [stimulus] checks,” Psaki told reporters at an afternoon briefing. “The checks will be signed by a career official at the Bureau of Fiscal Service. This is not about [Biden]. This is about the American people getting relief.”
Psaki said that the president did not believe it was “necessary” to have his name printed on the checks.
“He wanted to get them out as quickly as possible,” Psaki said.

I didn't see President Trump's name on my Direct Deposit from the IRS, and neither did anyone else who got the payment electronically.
I highly doubt that "millions of checks" were "sent out". That's so last century.

Dems made a big deal out of Trump signing the checks. This is just their usual snark. They know the media will carry Joe on a victory lap and he will get credit for the cash.

Joe hasn’t set up electronic signanture or whatever they use to run off a whole bunch of checks with his signature printed on them?
Some other reason is the real reason but his signature would cause a delay is obviously just some excuse we are supposed to accept.

So it takes less time for a career official at the Bureau of Fiscal Service to input his signature into a robo-pen than it does Beijing Joe? Joe can still sign his name, can’t he?

We received a check, even though they had our bank info. Trump’s name was on it and knowing it drove liberals nuts, glad he did it!
They’d have to forge his signature.
