Now, she's off to Arizona State University.
She plans to major in astronomical and planetary sciences and chemistry.
Her passion for building started as an infant with LEGOs.
Her goal is to build rovers like the one sent to Mars in the Perseverance mission.

Congrats to your son. Very impressive.
Read later.
“Prodigy” kids need extremely tight guidance to avoid some brutal pitfalls including burnout. Their intellectual, emotional, physical and spiritual rhythms are different from the norm and need to be charted for them to live balanced lives.
Likewise, their health, hormones and growth rate need to be checked more often to check for pathologies and imbalances.
Children normally develop psychological dilemmas which they typically overcome unless they mask them with something unrelated.
Prodigy kids can live normal, adjusted lives, whether they remain prodigies or not.
I admit it’s kinda cool to tell folks your son is a rocket scientist...
...for real.
hahahah!
No kidding!
Stepping on one of those barefoot.
Oweeee!
“She plans to major in astronomical and planetary sciences and chemistry.”
Is that all? Why not major in neuroscience and criminal psychology, too? Youngsters have no idea what is involved in a college education. And some parents have no idea what options are better for bright youngsters than a college education.
I’ve seen numerous 18 year olds studying astrophysics at Cal and yes, they are very impressive youngsters. And yes, some of them drop out, begin working in the alumni’s industries and save a lot of money.
NASA? She can do better than that.
I think that this school is a target school for kids who want to go into the space program. Good for her. And babies play with Duplos which are the large version of Legos.
Kid will be out of college by the time kids could attend class again.
Elon Musk is hiring. Screw NASA.
Racist? I didnt even click the article to see what she looks like! I just know this girl - a friend of my daughters - who after dropping out of 3 schools ended up with a diploma from an “online school” in the time it takes a baby to gestate (4 yrs H.S. in 9 months!) Now she is applying to colleges in CA who suddenly do NOT require SAT tests. She is illiterate in math and would get like a 400 but she doesn’t need it because CA declared the SAT racist. Get your head out of your ass. Americas standards have fallen off a cliff, from schools to the military and beyond.
“Go into medicine. We’ve only scratched the surface on the inner workings of the body.”
Looks like the medicine men are ruling the country now so it must be great.
Safer than sending her to the White House.
Look into the S. Korean national pre-college exam called Suneung.
And as an in-state student, it will cost less.
Elon Musk is hiring. Screw NASA.
Exactly. Man 1st flight to landing on the moon - 66 years
NASA jerking off with a space shuttle glider - 30 years
Elon as much as I think he is a govt. welfare leach stand to go farther than NASA will.
My Alma Mater had a 13 year old and he stayed at his parents house. I’m not sure if I let a teen go to college. My kids do some college studies...
Didn't know either way. I'd celebrate her whatever the color.
But yeah, I am racist. Seriously. All this Black Superiority stuff is making me that way. White is becoming the New Nigger.
So, she tested out of high school classes, went to summer school and also took advance placement classes for college. When she was 16, her parents took off for Europe for a few months and while they were gone graduated from high school. She also had applied and gotten accepted to a quite expensive private university located nearby and enrolled herself. She forged her mother's name for the enrollment papers and tuition payment, etc. and rode to college on a small Honda motorcycle.
Well, after a time her parents returned and after some more time her mother called up to the high school for something and the school told the mom that the daughter was not enrolled there. That's when the sneaking was over.
With the AP classes while in high school and a semester and summer of a heavy college load, she was a sophomore in college. All this without her parents knowing. Lol...
Two more things I got a kick out of. One, her older brother never ratted her out and two, she had written a bunch of thousands of $$$ of checks to the college and neither her mom or dad had a clue, didn't even notice.
So she plans on doing climate change research
