I’ve got some Fiesta Ware, made in the USA. I wonder how much it would fetch.

Some dude was eating oatmeal out of that bowl one morning and the next think he knows that same bowl sells for three quarter of a million dollars.

All he has now is that $35.00.

That has to hurt.

‘bought at yard sale’

Code for ‘can’t reveal true source’.

The bowl was expected to sell for between $300,000 to $500,000 at auction.
\Somebody in Connecticut is deeply upset, I would venture to guess.

I paid $15 for a 69 Mustang 428 R code ram air set up at a garage sale and sold it on ebay for $4300 when the prices were sky high a few years back.

The people were going into assisted living and it belonged to their son who took it off his car in the early 70’s and then he the car was wrecked.

My best score.

The buyer at the sale suspected if might be valuable, and paid the asking price without comment. You’ve got to keep a poker face at a sale or an auction, and never reveal any knowledge you might have.

The guys who buffed out the “Made in China” stamp on the bottom obviously did an outstanding job.

I know a guy who bought a verified Grant Wood painting at a garage sale for $25, it was supposedly worth $30K.

I picked up a Kathe Kollwitz work for $10 at an estate sale and was told it was worth $5K
