Pollak: Secret Republican Vote to Restore Earmarks Is a Betrayal of the Voters
Breitbart ^ | 3.17.21 | Joel Pollak

"The House Republican Conference vote on Wednesday to restore earmarks was a betrayal of the voters, and undermined one of the remaining legacies of the Tea Party.

The vote was close, 102-84, but that is no consolation, especially as it was by secret ballot, preventing voters from holding their representatives accountable."

As if the trillions looted this past year weren’t enough, here goes the “infrastructure” gravy train!

We are beyond the tipping point in the decline and fall of the Republic. When the culture is destroyed, religious doctrine forsaken, the rule of law completely distorted, and morality absent the society and its institutions break down and self indulgence is unconstrained. Without the commonly accepted informal rules and conventions of a healthy society greed and vice have no limits. The concepts of virtue, honor, duty, responsibility, patriotism, and respect have no value in public service today. Certainly there is no shame.

We are reaching the point where anarchy reins . Our legislators now openly pillaging the public treasury for the benefit of their donors. They gleefully inflict destruction on the economy, and their constituents, for their 30 pieces of silver, the applause of the leeches, and “status” in the hierarchy. They have stolen the fruits of the producers for so long their appetites can no longer be satisfied. In an effort to extract even more they will destroy the producers foolishly expecting no consequences.

When anarchy reins, and people can no longer escape complete destruction, they beg for the chains of the tyrant who promises to end the madness and restore order. I fear we are only in the early stages of anarchy.

the GOP is a malignant cancer that has eaten America

Surgical removal, decimation, and chemotherapy are needed, stat.

That's one way to look at it. The other is hopelessness. Put me in that camp.

Twice in my lifetime Republicans held both law-making branches of government and both times, not a single law endures from those eras that strengthened traditional American values. Not one.

Instead, we have two parties looking to undermine everything that made this country great. The Dems are just far more honest about it.

Did Mike Rogers from Alabama sponsor this bill? If so, he’s toast in 2022.

When anarchy reins, and people can no longer escape complete destruction, they beg for the chains of the tyrant who promises to end the madness and restore order. I fear we are only in the early stages of anarchy.

The history of man has never seen this situation.

A nation of this size, where until recently, the populace was used to operate freely and then, because of a forced event, are being sheepled into semi-submission.

The major difference is over 100,000,000 people have over 400,000,000 guns of all types.

In the pre-gun era, an army of strong men with clubs, swords and knives overwhelmed smaller men, older men or women, BUT the Colt is the great equalizer.

The bullet doesn't know or care how big or strong the shooter is, and that fact changes this whole equation.

No one knows how this thing will turn out because there is no model.

In every modern country since the beginning of the 20th century, the tyrants confiscated all of the guns, Germany in the 30s, Russia in the 20s are but two examples.

If Americans of the 21st century voluntarily turn in their weapons, all is lost.

I won't, but I might be in the smallest of minorities.

We will soon see, but like a demonRAT congress critter once said,

"Dey commen fo da guns".

There should be no secret votes in Congress. I’m more concerned about secret voting than I am about earmarks.

This is so wrong on so many levels — and completely antithetical to representative government.

Every constituent of every Republican congressperson needs to demand the representatives vote publicly — and post the their past secret vote on any issue — or face vigorous primary challenges in the upcoming election, regardless of their public voting record. True conservative lawmakers also must step forward and tell the public how their colleagues voted in these private ballots.

Star chamber government is how we lose our Republic...
