To: I want the USA back

No big deal for me. Just one more product I will purchase. I guarantee you that if enough of us boycott “woke” companies and their products/services this BS will stop post haste. Regardless of the company or it’s product, this political correctness will stop when it hits their balance sheet. Banks, sports, media, clothing, food, beverages, ad infinitum. They are all in business to make money first and foremost and everything else is secondary.

But not as secondary as it once used to be. Wokeness has a lot of currency in corporate America now and there’s a rising emphasis on Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance (ESG). Profits are not as important as they were. That’s just the reality of business today.

I’m not sure that is true... “woke” activists get themselves on the board of directors and push this crap in the name of “corporate image” and “public relations”.

Yes, there are finance types on the board as well, who focus on the bottom line - but when the subject turns to marketing and corporate image, their opinions are ignored and even suppressed.

And if a financially focused board member were to actually suggest (out loud) that he believed declining market share was being caused by a public backlash against transgender “wokeness”, he might not last long on the board.

No, these corporations will follow the same insane path as the media giants, sports franchises and Ivy League universities, which have all demonstrated that they are more than willing to suffer steep declines in profits, ratings, attendance, registrations and public approval, rather than stop peddling Leftist counter culture poison.

I think whatever they lose in revenues by being “woke”, they gain in government grants and private endowments. The Leftists trying to destroy our Republic have a lot of money.

Used to think that, but don’t anymore. I think corporate America has drank the Kool Aid. Keep in mind a lot of PR/Marketing types are now 40 somethings who buy into all of this. I have 6 that age in my family and they are split 5/1. My best friends family us 4/0.
