GOP Must Confront What It Did to Trump
Newsmax.com ^ | 4/14/2021 | Conrad Black

This article appears first and formost on American Greatness.

The Wall Street Journal on Friday published an editorial headlined "The GOP’s Trump Problem." It gets things terribly wrong.

The GOP is Trump’s party and it is The Wall Street Journal that has the Trump problem.

Having been commendably supportive of the former president through most of his term, the Journal joined in the general embarkation of NeverTrumpers over the ostensible election results.

The theory that inspired this headline is Trump had his chance but lost the election in a manner practically indistinguishable from defeated incumbents Jimmy Carter in 1980 and George H. W. Bush in 1992 (when there were no suggestions of questionable results).

The editors suggest further that Trump had exhausted any grounds he had for contesting the fairness of the counting of ballots, and that it was his duty to go quietly into that good night and do everything that he could to elect Republican senators in Georgia to preserve the Republican majority in the Senate and to enhance the likelihood of the reelection next year of Governor Brian Kemp of Georgia and his secretary of state Brad Raffensperger.

The Big Steal was BIPARTISAN!

We will NEVER Make America Great Again by re-electing Assistant Democrats.

Trump has to stop endorsing them.

Good article, but this one word in this one sentence was unnecessary:

...and while — contrary to his absurd claims — he lost the popular vote in seeking reelection...

First, it is not "absurd" to think that President Trump won the popular vote this time, especially considering the massive vote dumps in the middle of the night.

Second, even if Trump would have lost the popular vote, using the word "absurd" in this sentence adds nothing to the story except to virtue signal, which while not a disqualifying behavior to the article, makes one pause as to why it was done.

The main problem the WSJ has with Trump is that he was stopping the Cheap Labor Express, which they have been cheerleaders for for decades.

Why is any person still standing in Mexico today....?

Why isn’t every single mexican resident racing a cross the southern US border to finalize the total destruction of the US, with full approval of the democrat controlled government???

Mexico should be an empty wasteland today..

Wait... tomorrow is a new day...

I thought the exact same thing with that line. The truth is that Biden at best probably got around 63 to 65 million. Trump won when you spend as much time as I did going over the numbers and different types of fraud plus the correlation factors connected to winning the presidential election. Those factors had Trump winning all but one if I remember it right.

The Dems are guilty of fraud due to their efforts to prevent proper recounts/audits/recanvassing.

Without Trump. The GOP is just a hooker standing on a street corner doling blowjobs to benefit the democrats. It’s just that simple.

"We will NEVER Make America Great Again by re-electing Assistant Democrats."

Reminds me of Norm MacDonald's SNL joke:

Last year's worst job, Crack Whore, was replaced by this year's worst job, Assistant Crack Whore.

Last year's most traitorous politician, Democrat, was replaced by this year's most traitorous politician, Assistant Democrat.

How many times do you have to get screwed over before you say “not again”. The gop has never done ANYTHING but screw me over. Oh! But, There are voices (not mine in my head) that tell me that there is no other way... At some point the lies grow old.

“At some point the lies grow old.”

The Republican party showed its true colors during the Trump presidency. They undermined him and his administration from day one. Now they want us to believe that they are outraged about the actions of the Biden administration. It’s all posturing. They are no better than the Democrats.
