A few Collin’s songs made it to Miami Vice, if memory serves.

one of thee worst Genesis albums. For the most part it was all downhill after Duke.

Saw The Invisible Touch tour in 1987. I may still have the ticket stub.

Loved Genesis but of course Collins has to be a big lefty. “Land of Confusion” along with its video was a typical conservative hate fest .

I still like “Paperlate” better.
Probably the best Genesis song of all time - including the Peter Gabriel era.

My favourite Genesis albums are Foxtrot, Selling England by the Pound, Lamb Lies Down on Broadway, And Then There Were Three, and Genesis (1983). I wasn’t a big fan of Invisible Touch either.

Having seen this band in concert more than five times, starting with, And Then There Were Three, it’s the only band whose albums I cannot enjoy anymore. They were so dynamic in concert it makes their albums pale. I would have given anything to see a Peter Gabriel reunion if they performed, The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway.

This is not a ‘Wrath of Kahn’ Star Trek thread I surmise.

Wow, time flies. I was 13 at the time. Invisible Touch was definitely the song I associate with the summer of ‘86, much like Power of Love was the summer of ‘85. Funny how music elicits so many memories and emotions.
I also agree that Throwing it All Away was the best song on the album. Maybe their best song ever.

UGH! Invisible Touch is ultimate rock?
I guess “Billy Don’t be a Hero” is somewhere in there?
