A Pennsylvania woman who was watching her roommate's dogs was mauled to death while trying to beak up a fight between the animals.
On July 28, Rhoda Wagner was found dead in her front yard with three dogs running loose around her, PennLive reports. Responding authorities took the dogs, all pit bulls, into custody and through an investigation determined Wagner had been mauled to death. All three dogs were since euthanized with the consent of the owner, authorities said.

In 1960, Miami it was a senior Female who died, coming between her two Dobies, fighting for food. Dogs should be fed separately, even small ones!
I’d wager most aren’t properly socialized...kept with the litter for seven weeks, minimum....and will be discipline problems. Socialization isn’t about dogs getting along with people. It’s about them learning that they’re dogs.
Fire extinguisher might work, too.
“The 60 year old was an advocate for pit bulls.”
(from the article)
Sharp police work there, Colombo.
Dogs of Pieces.
Three Pits being walked together was always going to lead to a disaster. Everybody has seen how most Pits react when passing another dog on a leash. The average 60 /o may not be prepared to commandeer a trio of those devils if the mood to bite hits them as a pack.
Animal Shelters around here have many, many Pit Bull to adopt out...
The dog’s owner(s) should have been euthanized as well...
One wouldn't know that there is anything but race, queers, COVID and climate change by watching or listening to the news.
Owner no longer has a future dog sitting problem and didn’t have vet bills to euthanize the dogs.
Stupid people do stupid things. Trying to break up a dog fight of medium or large dogs without a gun or other lethal weapon is just plain stupid.
I had a Collie years ago. He was one of the larger collies (one of the best breeds) and he was very protective of us and of his 'territory. My neighbor had a Doberman who would occasionally run over. Well he and my collie went at it one day; both on their hind legs. I grabbed the garden hose and drenched them and they immediately broke up.
Cats are the same way. Water will break them up.
Ours simple quarantine them and then put them down. They are to dangerous and unpredictable to let the public interact with them.
Big time liability for the shelters.
A family close to me just adopted a pit bull. They have four small children, but I don’t dare speak my dreadful thoughts.
They’d already lost one small dog to their own prior-adopted female pit bull. And they’re NOT Democrats!
I can’t imagine why.
Early this summer I was walking my GSD and coming around a corner tracing a wooded area with a bike trail.About to turn direction, I spotted a couple on bikes with a Pit tracking with them but NOT TETHERED.
I saw the pit through the trees and calmly got my shep on a retractable leash u-turned quickly the way we had come.
That gave me serious high blood pressure
They fold at any gunshot. They fight like hell, right through fists, stabs, bites, etc. But they reliably fold even for a 22.
Those Shih Tzus are at it again. 😒
A mostly peaceful dog fight. 😐
