Sec Ed says states can't block funds to schools with masked mandates. [PLEASE SUE YOUR SCHOOL DISTRICT!]

Posted on 08/24/2021 10:21:06 AM PDT by dangus

Education Secretary Miguel Cardona says his department is working with local governments and school superintendents to help them break state laws banning mask mandates.

As reported, for instance by Epoch news:

"“We have to do everything in our power to keep them safe,” Cardona said in the interview, adding that he had spoken to superintendents in several districts embroiled in the mask mandate controversy to “let them know that we have their back. And yes, they can draw down on the funds that were promised to them so they can safely reopen schools.”"

Here's the thing: Gov Rightminded passes a law saying that schools can't have mask mandates. Naziburg ISD passes on anyway. Gov Rightminded wants to withhold federal funding, but now the Sec Ed says he can't. What to do?

Quit thinking of it top-down, and think bottom-up!

Vick Timm won't wear his mask to school. Principal Himmler insists that if he won't submit to human experimentation he can't go to school...

Wait... what? Since when does a school board get to decide who gets an education? Or that staring at a computer screen in an empty home amounts to a constitutionally permissable separate-but-equal schooling? Time for the Attorney General to get involved. You get NO funding left, after the lawsuit.

Sure, they can. Liberal States steal money from other programs and give to schools all the time.

Everything "in his power" does not include blackmailing school districts with withdrawal of funding for reasons not specified in the law.

This is, without question, the most openly lawless US regime I've experienced in my lifetime.

No - the schools are NOT federal institutions but are entities of the sovereign STATES.

Once again, the federal government unconstitutionally trying to override state law ALWAYS with disastrous effects (ex. federal override of state anti-abortions laws leading to bloody mass infanticide of 50-somw years of abortions).

Sec. of Ed is NOT an authority on the subject!

A court will decide, and that still won't stop the States from withholding State funding.

He’s promising to take the states to federal court, of course.

Apparently governors can just rule by dictat without bothering to pass laws through the legislature now. So the governor can just wave his sceptre and shut the school down by fiat.

There is no constitutional authority for the feds to have any say at all in education.

"This is, without question, the most openly lawless US regime I've experienced in my lifetime."

Lawless and CORRUPT-But does anyone bother to investigate these people?

(Bet they have stolen not billions, but probably trillions of dollars from Americans.)

Problem is, the Democrats have RINO accomplices, who block any attempt to look into their likely massive criminality.

😡

This crap is aimed at DeSantis... Let's see some studies on lung damage in young masked children... eye infections, sinus conditions etc...

States should issue arrest warrants for conspiracy to violate state laws against the Sec. of Education.
