When presented with a false sign-in prompt under such a condition, a rogue operator gets your password, likely including changing the password.
This is a rare occurrence, but important to take heed:
DO NOT SIGN IN OR CHANGE PASSWORDS UNTIL ALL CLEAR IS GIVEN BY ADMINS / JIM/ROB
I wish I had been that lazy. I’ve changed my password from time to time over the years, and I’ve done it twice today (logging off both times to test the new passwords). Seems I was wasting my time, or worse.
i have sent a couple emails to admin letting them know about what i experienced
anyone believing they may have been compromised, i advise right now to send in an email to them to let them know about your acct as they may have to do some work on them to preserve/repair whatever,...
just give them a heads up as it will make plugging things up easier for them, probably, if they can at least create a list of accts that may have been affected

Very good point. The only explanation why they haven’t taken the site offline is that they’re locked out.
I’d be unplugging the server if it was still hosted locally; that it’s still up is quite revealing.

Accounts can be hijacked it doesn’t mean you have been hijacked. Look at the name of the account posting. Is it your account? If not you are not allowing he one responsible.
Verify the URL. You are probably OK.
