Thought I'd let you know, almost all the engineers here have all banded together and are forcing NASA admin to fire them (both vaccinated and unvaccinated alike). NASA is on a hiring freeze, so firing all these folks would essentially kill the Artemis mission. We are witnessing something truly amazing here.
I hope they stay strong.
With Trump leaving the White House, America lost the space race anyway. China and even Russia will build an insurmountable lead in the remaining 3.5 years of Rat occupation of the US government.

I have been watching the Twitter feed today. I am pleasantly surprised that there are a great many vaccinated people that are opposed to mandates. Perhaps that's the reason.

Been my experience the GVT already hires mostly 2nd rate engineers. It is about going to get worse.
Honestly i do not think TPTB care if we go back to the moon or not, or want the usa to have spacefaring capability, so this may be a win-win for them either way.

All the best engineers have already left NASA for the private firms like SpaceX for three times the pay and none of the government nonsense.
From personal experience,I agree. Good government engineers are getting to be a rare species. A lot of engineers and engineering managers qualifications have nothing to do with that needed to actually do the work (ie. diversity and affirmative action).
Those with PhDs are the most likely demographic to resist the jabs. Engineers also tend to be fairly honorable.
Maybe they should go for a three-fer and throw Michelle (Michael) Obama up there.
