Grab a clue folks, the alphabet networks is covering this . . . that should tell you right there that she is a Soros-approved spokesman.
Facebook wants its cake. That’s it. They don’t want any hassles. They should be hassled more. They want to eat their cake too, and oil the greasy wheels to get it. So they claim the moral high ground by “censoring misinformation” and fact checking and warning flags etc. See we’re good people.
They would have no problems if they just said “it’s a free speech platform. We’re not going to police the content at all. The users are free to do that, if they want to, because that’s what the ‘social’ means in ‘social media’”.
Crimes are already codified into law. Prosecute people who use the platforms to commit crimes. Of course you are probably right this is a way to “amend section 230” to the favor of those with an agenda. Stop hate, stop dissent, stop debating ‘science’ etc. Social credits, biometric readings, tracking people’s movements etc. Nefarious government actors want and need facebook and related apps/devices and they don’t like that pesky 4th Amendment getting in the way.

I don’t disagree but just two thoughts. 1) the alphabet media loves to destroy things, after building them up and 2) social media and technology in general have gutted them. They lost the vast majority of market share to social platforms and device “news syndication” apps. FB is competition and harmed their economic interests. So they have an interest in bashing them; regulating them etc.
And Facebook just cut an add demanding more “internet regulation.” Totally not a ploy to benefit Zuckerberg and further secure big tech’s control of the information for the sake of marxism.

Careful who you’re rooting for in this fight.
This is being done so that the left can control Facebook at the same level as they control social media like twitter, etc.
