They said at least one of the camera operators complained last weekend to production managers about gun safety on the set.
Three crew members who were present at the Bonanza Creek Ranch set that day said they were particularly concerned about two accidental prop gun discharges on Saturday.
Baldwin's stunt-double accidentally fired two rounds Saturday after being told that the gun was "cold" — lingo for a weapon that doesn't have any ammunition, including blanks, one of crew members who witnessed the episode told the Los Angeles Times.
"There should have been an investigation into what happened," said the crew member. "There were no safety meetings. There was no assurance that it wouldn't happen again. All they wanted to do was rush, rush, rush."
A colleague was so alarmed by the prop gun misfires he sent a text message to the unit production manager. "We've now had 3 accidental discharges. This is super unsafe," according to a copy of the message reviewed by the Times.

Starting to sound weird to me. Why all this live ammunition? Seems like someone wanted something bad to happen.
I thought the same thing. I don’t care for the man’s personality, but man, this should happen to no one. A person is dead, and another probably died inside. And it may have been a pissed-off walk-out who was trying to make some point.
Funny how so many supposed people talking now, including union people who say they know what happened, yet also claim none of their people were on set at time of the shooting(s). I don’t like Alec Baldwin, but this seems odd. Someone sure has an axe to grind.

There were enough precursor firearms safety incidents, union job actions, inexperienced "experts and past behavior and attitudes of actors that the filming should have been suspended for a safety review, and proper set safety procedures implemented and enforced.
No live ammunition is needed on set with actors or crew, Computer Generated firearm discharges are so good the audience cannot tell the difference.
Blanks ammunition is sometimes necessary for actors reactions and cues in particular scenes, but Computer Generated images will perfectly represent projectile impact on any object.
Certainly a lot of powerful people didn't care if something bad happened, they wouldn't take the fall.
The armorer will be arrested and charged with murder.

Call me a conspiracy theorist, but union workers walk off set due to complaints about conditons and are replaced on the morning of the incident. Is it possible a disgruntled union worker placed a live round in the gun to possibly show the non-union replacements as incompetent when the gun goes off? Probably not expecting it would not be aimed at someone, but just to startle the cast and directors. Just throwing out theories.
He was being his arrogant self and murdered a young woman.

I hate Alec Baldwin. However I said to my wife after a report on OAN that the whole thing sounds like a set up.
You never point a gun at somebody and pull the trigger unless you intend to kill them.
He did just that.

I know if I get shot checking out a LV 480 system they will make sure I had my 40cal suit on.
First rule “ never put your booger hooks in the trigger guard until you’re ready to shoot”. The stupidity running rampant on this movie set is the “epic”. Baldwin is criminally negligent. IMHO. First question. Who had the weapon? Second. Who pulled the trigger? Third. Did you check the weapon after it came into your possession? Game, set, match. For us peons.
That is my stand.

I’d not be surprised if he starts some kind of support group/foundation for people who have shot people to death and turns this into a fountain of pity and sympathy for himself.
Everything else is bass ackwards now so it would follow.
