"United States needed to better secure critical technologies including artificial intelligence, quantum computing, semiconductors and other technologies."

Way Too late.. The Clinton's already sold all the good stuff to China when they were running (or is that ruining) the country... :(

These two links will cover the story far better than the NYT.

We have the dumbest leaders on the planet. How could we have allowed a communist country who is technically our enemy to become so powerful?

For crying out loud...even our prescription drugs are manufactured largely in China. Talk about national security issue. Good grief!

So, imagine if you will. War between China/Taiwan breaks out. China blockades parts of the East/South China seas. Commerce begins to grind to a halt. Japan, Philippines, Korea, Vietnam begin ramping up naval operations to protect their interest.

America begins to push back against the communist. An incident takes place between China/U.S. naval forces.

Get the picture? China is in tough economic distress. America and the rest of the world likewise. What typically happens when the world gets to this point?

Yea...war. America has allowed so much manufacturing offshore to China...folks here have little clue what life will look like when/if something like this happens. History repeats itself. Ya think empty shelves today are bad?

I haven’t seen many, either. But usually they’re everywhere the few weeks before Christmas. We shall see.
