CLEVELAND (WJW)– Longtime Cleveland radio host Mike Trivisonno died suddenly on Thursday. He was 74 years old.
WTAM AM 1100 announced his passing during its Thursday afternoon broadcast.
“Very sad to say that Mike Trivisonno passed away today,” said programming director Ray Davis while fighting back tears. He expressed condolences to Trivisonno’s family. “It’s going to be a very difficult show today.” The broadcast was emotional as his colleagues reminisced about his legacy.
“The Mike Trivisonno Show” aired weekdays from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., where Triv discussed sports, politics and more.
Trivisonno started as a frequent caller to Pete Franklin’s sports talk show. He got his own show in 1987 and took over for Franklin in 1994 before moving to the afternoon slot.
Husband will be in mourning. He listened to Triv everyday in the afternoons while driving his semi. Not much on radio after Rush passed, and now Trivisano. Sad😪
Was he forced to take the fake vaccine?
Awfully sudden.
Did he take the jab?
I believe he did a few months ago. No cause of death released yet.
I’d say he was “pro jab” but “pro choice” about it.
He was overweight. I am guessing heart attack. Prayers to his familyand friends.
RIP.
Terrible when every death has to be put through the ‘WuFlu lens’...Did he die of WuFlu? Or die of the EGT?
OHIO PING!
Please let me know if you want on or off the Ohio Ping list.

I’ve listened to Triv since he was a caller to Pete Franklin’s Sportsline show back in the 70’s. It’s a sad day for Cleveland radio. People loved Triv, or hated him but listened anyway. RIP Triv.
Never heard of him....seems I missed a good talk radio guy..
He was. He started out as a regular caller to a previous legend’s show. Then busted his way in to becoming probably the top radio personality in northeast Ohio.
He could be a blow hard. He could be ignorant sometimes. Frustrating sometimes. But he seemed to be genuine and “one of us”. He struck me kind of as a former democrat who became an outspoken conservative in real time as he documented liberal destruction of our city and country.
Didn’t always agree with him. But he was Cleveland through and through.
Do not know his cause of death. If you made me guess, I’d say heart attack. He was never at an ideal weight and smoked like a chimney for most of his life. But he was on the air yesterday so I wouldn’t think anything like cancer.
As a life long Browns fan, I’ll always remember listening to Triv during the Modell escape to Baltimore year. That station came thru great here in Indiana after it got dark.
He was a funny guy, kind of a Rush Limbaugh personality.
Tough year for Afternoon Drivetime in The CLE.
First Rush Limbaugh in January. Michael Stanley a very popular local Rock Star who did Afternoon Drive for WNCX Classic Rock for decades. Now ‘The Voice of Cleveland, Mr. Know-it-all’ Mike Trivisonno.
I was lucky to hear parts of the last broadcasts of all three!
Man what will I listen to driving around town.
He was a lifetime smoker & had health problems in the past. Very likely a heart attack.
Ray Davis Program Director at WTAM Radio did the entire Triv show today with his fellow co-hosts. He said he had talked to him in the early afternoon on the phone. Then one of his co-hosts talked to him a few minutes later & his wife called soon after that. I believe he died in his garage going to work.
Most likely a heart attack.

Remember when Sindelar wasn’t even a pimple on his ass?
They said when Rush passed that no one could ever replace him.
I dare ANYONE to ever come close to being like Triv. Impossible
I remember Triv’s radio slot would follow Rush’s at 3PM. Didn’t Triv play off Rush’s “mega dittoes” caller greeting having callers do “mega dagos”? (A tribute to Triv’s ethnicity?)
Drive time will never be the same.
He did a lot for the community too.
I never realized he was 74 though.
Mega Dagos….indeed he did.
