A 98-year-old man who donated his body to science ended up being dissected before a paying audience at a “freak show” event in Oregon. The family of the man is outraged over how his body was desecrated without their consent.
The audience paid $500 per ticket to watch the body of David Saunders be dissected, live and in person.
“Event organizers sold tickets for up to $500 to the public to view in-person the autopsy and dissection of a human body. The event is part of the Oddities and Curiosities Expo, which travels across the country,” local station KING 5 reports.

Ghoulish beyond belief.

The next Show should
Be a “Barn Burner!”
Would the family have preferred that he be blown up in testing of munitions?
“Would the family have preferred that he be blown up in testing of munitions?”
Well I’m guessing the family or the deceased wouldn’t have given consent to be part of a ghoulish freak show.
What the h$&@ is wrong with people??
Anyone surprised this happened in Oregon? The soil in the Pacific Northwest has low lithium levels. Many of the people, as the nation has seen, are not wrapped too tight.
You mean he didn’t donate his body to the circus? Oh, our mistake.
I don’t think this is so unusual. Decades ago, a friend was invited to watch his friend the MD harvest organs at a Chicago med school.
I’m the recipient of someone’s cornea and will need another very soon. Enormously grateful for donors.

Try reading the story before you pop off.
“freak show in Portland”
Portland is a freak show
Let’s not forget that in 18th and much of 19th century America, public hangings and sometimes whippings were often family picnic events.
It definition of what is acceptable for entertainment or diversion runs all over the map for human beings.
Dead souls, no sp[irit life in them. They seek kicks and the sellers chase wealth.
Or is this what passes for "science" these days?
It’s all about the $$$$.
Did you read the article?
This wasn’t about organ donation.

I understand that legit medical training requires practicing dissections. I understand that legit medical research requires work on cadavers.
I also understand that legit research sometimes requires animal testing.
Legit animal testing does not include this.
Legit medical research does not require that.
You are not far off:
Green cremation! Less energy/CO2, basically you’re entirely dissolved except a few bone fragments, and the stuff that’s left can be recycled... It’s also getting pushed.
The cartels dispose of bodies that way.
Ignorant trash. No respect and zero dignity for humanity.
That freak show must be the same ‘science’ liberals are always taking about...
