Family here has a bunch of Moto E cheapo phones. Still working. I see 3G and LTE on display at times. What is LTE and is it going off too ?

4G LTE is staying.
The 3G service is going down.
LTE stands for “Long Term Evolution”.
3G was insecure, you could be snooped on.
