14% increase, and corners were cut with the bird, no timer, no gravy, no giblets. Butterball, Kroger’s had ‘SUPPLY ISSUES’. It is our only ‘reasonable’ priced grocery store. I REFUSE TO SHOP FORMER TN REP JIMMY NAFIEH D FAMILY STORE, MORE EXPENSIVE. Not traveling 35miles round trip to the Navy Commissary either. We are mask less, Navy base has to wear masks.
NOT MASKED, NOT JABBED. MY CHOICE, MY BODY. Never had the Flu in 73 yrs.
Don’t stuff yourself......grin.
This is what to eat when taxpayers are footing the bills.
I was awakened from a sound sleep this morning by the crackle of heavy paper, a fleeting apparition of a winged dragon and then a searing pain on my hip. My Maine Coon kitten had somehow gotten her head into the loop of a paper shopping bag and was racing around to rid herself of her unwanted “wings”. In her frenzy, she ran over me in my bed, inflicting the deep gashes (hurray for Bactine!) and into/out of every room, yet her “wings”, now torn and tattered, persisted in “following” her. I finally called her over to me and slipped the offending shopping bag handle over her head and out of her life. That bag was not easily accessible, but my kitten is a pro at ferreting out things with which to cause mischief. SHE is now pronounced the “turkey” of this Thanksgiving. As in, “You TURKEY!”
Hey go all out and dump in a can of beans! The byproduct will be a great reminder of the master of the feast, good ole Scrooge Biden!
Life Is Good! :)
Yes. But it’ll cost you that ‘bonus’ sixteen cents you got from Uncle Joe! ;)
I’m having an octopus Turkey.
Turkey and 6 additional thighs.
My family likes dark meat!
Turkey in the infrared frier and thighs went in the smoker for a couple of hours and then in the souls vide for about 8 hours, will finish them on the grill.

And I wouldn’t trade places with a single one of them for anything in the world. :)

President Joe Biden tweeted Wednesday that supermarket shelves are well stocked across the country while grocers ration food.
“For all those concerns a few weeks ago that there would not be ample food available for Thanksgiving, families can rest easy today,” Biden claimed.
“Grocery stores are well-stocked with turkey and everything else you need,” the president added.
Meanwhile, Publix Supermarkets, a Florida-based grocer, warned customers this week to expect food shortages in all 1,280 stores across the southeast.

‘Our Betters’ luxe Turkey Day Menu........on the taxpayers dime
I’ll probably go to Jack-in-the-box: they’re open all day. McDonald’s closes at 11:00.
Thanks to bare-shelves Brandon, turkeys were in short supply. So that resulted in a heretofore undiscussed question of whether or not to bother with a turkey on Thanksgiving. It turns out that most of the extended family is not keen on roasted Turkey anyway. So a new tradition of Thanksgiving steaks it is!
Well, yeah. That’s a given.
Every move they make ‘costs’ us in one way or another - cash money or FREEDOM! Jerks. I hope their Turkey is DRY, LOL!
😄 haha.. Thanks! My son is working at a top of the line restaurant today - 11:00 - 9:00 - he should make ~ $500 in gratuities...
We’re having the MD Turkey 🦃 and fixings on Saturday while watching Michigan football..!
No joke, My Dad (RIP) talked of setting traps at the nearby grainery in Chicago and trapping bunches of sparrows. This was during the depression and they had 9 kids in the family. Grandma made sparrow stew.
You changed your tagline! Congrats on the dinner! Witnessing your apocalyptic skill set. BTW check your spelling on innocence
Our Turkey ....a BB....was same price .as usual ...I think 2.09/lb for a 16 pounder ....Publix
We expected triple usual price
