Good evening fellow Freepers. This post is not one that comes from a newspaper article, but one that comes from ME and it concerns happenings at a midwestern military base. I won't say which one it is because to disclose it openly at this point might do more harm than good, but what's now starting to happen needs to get out there.
A meeting was held today. The meeting was scheduled last Friday by base personnel to take place today, they then canceled this meeting on Monday, then rescheduled, again, yesterday for today. No one knew what the meeting was going to be about. It could have been for a number of different reasons. But as it turns out, they discussed Covid related topics for those who have not received the jab.
Starting next week, every Monday, every unjabbed person will have to be tested. Thankfully it's at the military's expense. But that wasn't all. The local JAG office will start considering litigation against any unjabbed person who does not wear a mask while on the base. So every time I'm out and about, I'll have to mask up. I'm also supposed to wear a mask while in my office, but thankfully the folks I work for don't care if I do or don't, but I'll probably have to start closing my office door AND LOCKING IT in order to avoid vax police who might be lurking about.
So that's the latest. I'm going to be contacting the law firms that are prosecuting the government agencies responsible for this mess to let them know what's coming down. But I wanted to keep my friends here in the know as well.

The masking is such a silly thing, isn't it?
It does NOTHING except make people think you are into S&M.
All of this political weaponization and bureaucratic mandates on the rank and file screams unit cohesion and military readiness (/sarc)
If the next war can’t be fought with drones, I’m afraid the USA is going to get its butt-kicked.
I'm thankful I can retire at any time I want, but I'm going to start teleworking 80% of the week to avoid as much of the madness as possible. See how far that gets me.

It would have to have been a moderator. We basic users do not have the ability to change titles.

Yes it is, and it was pulled for a while. Now when it’s been reinstated the word “Vanity” has been inserted into the title. I did not put that there!
