Chicago was supposed to be under a mile of ice by now according to the “scientific minds” of the 1970s.
The brutal fall and winter of 1976-1977 was “Proof” we were entering the NEW ICE AGE!
I had an old wool Army blanket and a drop light with a 100W bulb that Winter. Car not garaged. Drop light went between the block and the radiator and the blanket over top of the engine compartment to hold in a little heat. Made a BIG difference on the car starting in the AM.
