She may be severe mental issues, and I was one of her biggest fans, but she’s RIGHT.
When you commit someone to a hospital on suicide watch, you expect them to take the appropriate safety and security steps.
I doubt the kid received last rites...

The problems he acquired from his mother aside, if he was on suicide watch at a hospital they do indeed bear the responsibility for letting him wander off and do himself in.
They accepted a duty to keep him under observation and did not discharge that duty in a reasonable and prudent fashion.

I don't care about her politics or her adopted religion, she just lost her son to suicide and I would expect some compassion for her loss from the members of this site who claim to be conservative Christians.
Unfortunately, after reading many of the comments here, apparently they belong to a different church. One that I'm definitely not a member of nor choose to belong to.............

She ought to be put on suicide watch now. Huge loss to her, and the sort of thing that can lead to a person taking their own life.

They are perhaps to some extent responsible, but I would suspect that the mother may have had some inadvertent contributions to the state.
