Most women in England and Wales no longer have a child before they are 30, official figures show for the first time.
An Office for National Statistics (ONS) report found 50.1 per cent of women born in 1990 were childless by their 30th birthday.
It is the first time there has been more childless women than mothers below the age of 30 since records dating back to 1920 began.

The current generation want the traditonal teen years of focusing on fun, socializing, limited responsibilities, etc. extended into their 30’s.
Oh, you know - why would you want these gals to have kids, anyway? They would be bad mothers with bratty kids. If they don’t want to reproduce, that’s fine with me.
Yes I’m sure part of the reason is women not wanting children, at least at younger ages, due to establishing careers.
And people often say you can delay having children till the mid to late 30 age range. Which is true to a point, but, many women have trouble conceiving the older they get.
The fact is, ease of conception or abilities in that area of life, decline in both men and women with age.
Me too, the world will be a better place if we thin the herd a bit. Especially Liberals, let those evil and defective genes that cause them to believe and think the way they do die out with them.

The west (and East Asia) is heading towards rapid depopulation.
Covid (and government response) magnified long-trends that were already in place
Combine massive debt, with abortion, with feminism, with socialism, with entertainment, wth drugs, with denial of Christianity - and the developed world is heading into a death-spiral.
Traditionally, the age at which women first give birth descends through the generations. If a woman had a daughter at 18, that daughter would likely have her first child in her teen years. If a woman first gave birth in her mid or late 30s, that girl would likewise delay childbearing. As social and economic factors make it more difficult to raise a family when young, the pattern is changing, and women are universally delaying motherhood, as do their children after them.
Younger British women, in general, drink like fish and want a “weekend break” vacation all the time. It shouldn’t be s surprise they are not procreating.
The one thing nobody thinks about in delaying Child Birth is being Grandparents.
If you have a kid at 25 and your kid has a kid at 25 you are a grandparent at 50. Still young and have energy enough to be in a big part of your grandkid's lives (and have fun!). You will also likely live to be a Great-Grandparent.
If 35 & 35 then you are a grandparent at 70, you are old. While you can still enjoy you grandkids when they are little, you likely won't be alive and/or functioning in their teens & early 20's
Ironically these ‘enlightened westerners’ not breeding will have their nations run by 3rd worlders. But I guess since they don’t have a stake in the future, what do they care?
I’ll be 30 in a few years and I can vouch for them, it’s not easy to find good husband and father material. Most males in their 20’s are still children and live like children. Even those who are not so deficient, are leery of marriage and responsibility.
I’ve wanted a big family, maybe 5 or 6 children. I’ve scaled it down to 3 or 4 now. :(

Africas population is going to triple by 2100.
Through migration they will take over much of Europe-East and West and move North into the Middle East which has a low birth rate as well.
Strange game; the only way to win is not to play at all.
Being a Boomer I can see the difference in women today. They have to be every bit as manly as a man. They must compete with men. You can’t do that if you have a baby.
Very true.
As for career and having fun, some of us are already financially independent, but can’t even date much because it’s the males who make “having fun” a priority. I’m not an inflatable toy.
As a caution to all those who prize quantity over quality.
