Also in the article: Tax brackets are being adjusted for inflation so people pay more in taxes.
These mfers just keep pushing.
It’s pay back time.
Just more personal ID info online, I don’t trust govt sites, more bait for hackers of the world.
This is a photo ID. If it stands, compel states to query this database for ALL voters in federal elections.
And yet requiring the same to vote is racist and too difficult for the People of Color.
ID.me is now the #1 target for Chinese and Russian hackers.
And I’m going to put my money on the hackers.

Just tell the Democrats we can use those facial recognition programs for voting and this will go away.
This is not like showing a photo ID in person to prove that you are who you say you are.
You are sending a digital image. To what are they comparing it? Are they merely using their muscle to feed a surveillance system?
Maybe someone should just say the plan is racist because it requires you to have a certain form of technology.
Symphony Bank cancelled my Lowes card when I refused to do this.
I applied (didn’t need it but we just built a new home and I thought it would be an easy way to keep track of spending on the house so far as landscaping and fencing) and my first charge was flagged as fraud.
I got a text that I needed to upload a video of my face in order to proceed. I called the fraud dept and was treated like crap, like I was a criminal for not wanting to do that.
I was told the images/video was going to the Philippines and I refused. They had everything they needed to ensure it was me. They ended up canceling my credit card, affecting my credit score. I went from 820 to 715 as a result of them canceling and when I asked why it was canceled, they said I opened a credit card which lowered it. It was their credit card I opened.

Tell me again why voter ID is racist.
next they’ll want you to submit your fingerprints and a DNA sample.
I’ll be uploading my butt.
Think how useful that will be when it comes time to round people up for the ovens.
Now, from personal experience (over two decades working in enterprise I.T. and infosec), VERY few companies invest in infosec and far fewer do it well. Too many companies rush to implement technologies with the best of intentions, but are not willing to invest in implementing them correctly. Most I.T. infrastructure is paved with good intentions which invariably lead to Hell. Morale to the story; Don't trust technology and don't think it will solve all the world's problems - in most cases it just creates more problems.
But, but showing an ID to vote sends the left into hysterics.
“The is part of the surveillance state.”
Perhaps. But as someone who has had their identity stolen I do see a need for identity verification. Someone tried to file a tax return on our behalf to get a refund and it did cause us a lot of grief.
But this new process they are talking about seems like a ridiculous hassle. Shirley there is a better way.
They need to come up with a chip implant or something to absolutely identify a person. Oh ... wait a minute.
There’s no justification for this
