So your “old” Hot Spot is now connecting again to the ‘net?

Or did you have to replace it?

For years I had a four party line. In 1992 I got internet with a paid line to a city twenty miles away. I used the internet mainly at night to not disturb the other parties. I joined free republic shortly after that. Now I live in Alaska with a good AT&T internet but it was a 350mg for years. My son works for AT&T so I have it all...iPad, watch, TVs. The watch is great to call my husband when I’m stuck in the snow with my snow machine.

Weird. And you probably needed internet access for them to debug the problem — catch 22.

Have you considered a more permanent solution? Such as at LTE 5G modem box? You can hook up antennas to it that are mounted on your roof and probably get a better signal. And it might be more reliable than a phone.

People mount them to their RVs.

I don’t know how much it costs.

We use a Hot Spot and our cell phone’s hot spot features as backup to an underground fiber optic ‘net connection.

Redundancy increases reliability....

“And you probably needed internet access for them to debug the problem — catch 22.”

LOL, That’s what I found after getting a PC.

I needed a second one to help figure out how to get the first one working again.

YES! Thank you! It certainly feels wonderful to be back home again with folks that have brains in their heads instead of CRT, leftism, BLM, mandates, etc.

I’m guessing Verizon.

Useless bunch of idiots making even more rationale for outsourcing American jobs.

Cool, this has happened to us also. We do the same here in our remote area. But we tether our phones as a modem rather than hotspot wireless. It keeps the phone charged up from the PC at the same time. Always topped off and ready to go. :)

Isn’t it funny how exciting it is to get an internet connection back? It is always just as exciting as the very first time. lol

Welcome back ! It’s good to have input from all of the states and especially the more rural states . Sorry but the blue hives and their moral meanderings do not stir my ole country soul like the rural perspective . Like hot grits cooked in a southern cast iron pan . After delivering ten babies in below zero weather, after fixing the well pump that always goes down when the storm is hard on us . It is then that the grits carry the heat down into your bones . Microwave ? Humphhhh! Gimme some of those Southern grits like that sweet ole lady from Georgia taught my wife to make .They carry the heat ! Try it! I sometimes wonder if the Southern folk appreciate the power of grits like some of us converted Yankees up in the snow belt ? Strike me guilty of cultural appropriation . Don’t get me started on sweet taters , heh .

No, but I have discovered my daily diary pages are longer since I haven’t been able to waste as much time surfing the Internet. :)

My cell provider is a reseller of cell usage. Not Verizon.
