I had a HotSpot unit die on me a year or so ago.
I was surprised as most electronics works great well after it is obsolete.
Was your Hot Spot 3G only?

Interesting. Did you figure out why you were disconnected? I bet that a lot of rural folks use the telephone network for data.

I wonder some times if it is best to just lock myself away and wait for the whole thing to blow over. Dump the technology because it will be useless if/when the STF.
It might not be a bad thing to be isolated and off-grid. But only check periodically to monitor the outside world.

Terribly sorry to hear about your hotspot problem. Must have been intensely frustrating, but you triumphed over Tech! YES!

You must really far off the beaten path as 19-5=14 and a week around most parts is 7 days. That’s two weeks for us here in rural Missouri.
I know things go at a slower rate in the south.
Cool.

Cool, this has happened to us also. We do the same here in our remote area. But we tether our phones as a modem rather than hotspot wireless. It keeps the phone charged up from the PC at the same time. Always topped off and ready to go. :)
Isn’t it funny how exciting it is to get an internet connection back? It is always just as exciting as the very first time. lol

Welcome back ! It’s good to have input from all of the states and especially the more rural states . Sorry but the blue hives and their moral meanderings do not stir my ole country soul like the rural perspective . Like hot grits cooked in a southern cast iron pan . After delivering ten babies in below zero weather, after fixing the well pump that always goes down when the storm is hard on us . It is then that the grits carry the heat down into your bones . Microwave ? Humphhhh! Gimme some of those Southern grits like that sweet ole lady from Georgia taught my wife to make .They carry the heat ! Try it! I sometimes wonder if the Southern folk appreciate the power of grits like some of us converted Yankees up in the snow belt ? Strike me guilty of cultural appropriation . Don’t get me started on sweet taters , heh .
